We were watching this stupid YouTube clip in Portland, OR. It's one of those things that isn't really funny when you first watching it, but then you find yourself repeating the lines over and over again.

The last day of the trip. We hit up St. Francis Vineyard and one other. The Red Sox lost again. Then went out for pizza with Tim, Christina and Micha. Bar hopped through Pacific heights afterwards. Awesome day!

Been too busy to blog. We hit the ground running yesterday. Well, actually we were biking. Tim and Christina lent us their mountain bikes and we bike 16 miles along the bay, over the Golden Gate Bridge, into Sausalito and ending in Tiburon. It took us a bout four hours because we kept stopping in awe of the sites.

(the photos may look different because I'm switching back to Picasa from Flickr. Flickr is a pain and I've finally decided I don't like it as much. You can click on the slide shows to see the individual photos)

Today was equally busy. Tim lent us his car and we headed for Tiburon at 8 a.m. We drove to Muir Woods and walked around there for an hour and a half or so. It was incredible. The trees are enormous and average between 500 and 800 years old.

After the morning walk we went to three different vineyards in Sonoma. We started at Vianis where we bought a bottle of wine and a couple of delicious pizzas for lunch. We then moved on to another which I won't try to spell. It sounds like, "gun lock bun shoe." The wine there was great. Finally, we headed to Larson Family vineyard. That one was much more whimsical that the other two.

After the vineyard trips, we dropped Kris, Spunk and Liz off at there hotel and met Tim and Christina for burritos. We then headed to the Oakland Colosseum for the Red Sox vs A's. Sox ended up losing, but it was a better game then the score tells.

Not totally sure what tomorrow holds for us. It's the last day of this West Coast swing. We may do some more vineyards, maybe stay in the city, who knows.

First day in San Francisco. The flight down was a piece of cake. Maria fell asleep before we took off and didn't wake up until we were preparing for landing. I slept for most of the flight as well. We took the BART from the airport to the financial district and a quick cab to the hotel.

The room wasn't ready at the time so we walked down to the water, had lunch and walked around and saw some awesome views of the city and the Golden Gate Bridge. We also walked up to the famous Lombard St. It was incredibly steep!

We're meeting Timothy and Christina for dinner tonight and Micah may meet up with us as well.

Today we'd tried to get out to Portland and see some sights. Despite a late start, we were able to hit the World Forestry Center (which was a total disappointment) and the Rose Garden (although the roses weren't in bloom) and the Pearl neighborhood (which was cool).

We had lunch/dinner at Jake's Famous Crawfish. It was a great pub with excellent happy hour deals that started at 3pm.

Had a great day yesterday. The weather has been unseasonably warm this week with temps in the 80's - 90's.

Jake's graduation was this morning. We went to the Phi Beta Kappa brunch. Typical of Ferrante's, we were a late and they had to set up a table for us. It was a decent spread complete with a couple of bottles of Champaign at each table. We had fun eating and drinking Mimosas.

Not a ton of photos from the day. We let Judith take most as we were pretty camera active yesterday. There are a few though.

Silver Falls 009

Here's a Flickr link to with our photos from our day trip to Silver Falls State Park. It was an incredible day in which we saw 10 waterfalls. It was pretty warm (in the 80's) and we jumped in a couple of times during the 4 mile hike.

Today is Jake's graduation. He was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and there's an induction breakfast before the graduation ceremony. We're not sure yet what the rest of the day will look like.
Here's the full video. Photos to come later this a.m.

D.W. has a great series, and after going through my Google Reader, I remembered that it was here that I found the New Media Douchebag YouTube clip.

I also found the Down-With-The-Kids Man extremely relevant.

It seems to me that if your motto is "We'll pick you up" then you should do it.

I was recently in Dulles on a business trip. As I waited for the Enterprise shuttle, I watched 4 Budget shuttles, 3 National/Alamo shuttles, and 2 Dollar shuttles pick up passengers. A man and a woman asked me if I had seen the Enterprise shuttle. They were worried that they had missed it. I assured them that they hadn't, and said that their motto should be, "we'll pick you up, but grab a seat because it'll be a while."
